How it works

Clients post projects and compare applicants. Freelancers join by invitation, publish a public profile, and apply to work that fits. Both sides can discuss the details before agreeing to work together.

  • Clients: Create a free account, post a project, and talk to the freelancers who match.
  • Freelancers: Request an invitation, build a public profile, and apply when suitable work is posted.
  • Both: Run the project with milestones, tasks and invoices, or however you already work.

What you get

Everything below is included on the free account, for clients and freelancers alike.

  • A public profile at its own address: Headline, about section, skills, portfolio, rates and availability, on a page you can send to a client. Profiles are public by codename, so members choose what identity they trade under.
  • Client and project management: Customers, notes, documents, quotes, tasks, milestones and invoices, including clients who never came from this platform at all.
  • Links to everywhere else you work: Fiverr, Upwork, GitHub, LinkedIn or your own site, straight from your profile. Nothing here asks for exclusivity.
  • A members-only community: Chat rooms and a feed for the parts of freelancing that never make it into a portfolio. Nothing is published to the web unless the author chooses to share it.

Getting paid

Connect Stripe if you want clients to pay invoices through the platform, with milestones and receipts handled for you. That costs a flat $5 per invoice, waived on Premium. Invoicing your own way is free, fully supported, and plenty of members never connect Stripe at all.

Frequently asked questions

What does it cost? The core platform is free for both clients and freelancers, and there is 0% commission on any project. The only charge connected to project money is a flat $5 fee on invoices you choose to process through the platform, which Premium waives.

Can anyone join? Clients can create an account freely. Freelancers join by invitation from an existing member or team, and can request one through the join page.

Do I have to stop using other platforms? No. You can link to Fiverr, Upwork, GitHub, LinkedIn or your own site from your profile, and take work wherever you like.

Is my personal information public? Only what belongs on a public profile. Freelancers are public by codename rather than legal name, and email addresses, messages, billing details and client information are never shown publicly.

Is this only for developers? It started with developers and they are still the largest group, but the skill list also covers design, infrastructure, testing, writing and marketing.

How established is the platform? It is in early release with a deliberately small community. The founding members page sets out honestly what that means and what joining now involves.
